County Acquires First Electric Vehicle

In support of the goals established by Chester County's Climate Action Plan, we're excited to share that the county acquired its first Electric Vehicle (EV)! The vehicle, a 2024 Nissan Leaf, was delivered to the Chester County Library this past week, and will be used by the Library's outreach program. The county's Facilities Department coordinated the install of a "Level 2" charger in the Library's garage to charge the vehicle.
Three additional EVs are on order for Chester Couty in 2024, which will be used by employees of the Pocopson Home, Chester County Prison, and Children, Youth & Families department, with more to come in 2025! Learn more about how EVs fit into the county's Climate Action Plan.
